The building is in disrepair with the roof leaking, tiles loose on the floor, carpet torn and dirty. It is infested with rodents . The owner does not care about tenants, only wants to fill his pockets.

They are demand a 10% rent hike, which is 5 times the legal limit, and threatining the tenants, telling them that if all else fails, they will be turning the units into condos, and the residents currently living there can either buy the condo, or get out, and all this during a pandemic and when people can barly afford rent as it is
